Sample Order Management

Sample Order Management adds a focused product-sample workflow under the Sales Orders menu. Sales and inventory teams can issue samples to customers, record samples received back, and retain a direct link to the operational stock move.

Confirmation validates stock availability for sample issues and generates the related inventory transfer. When moves are completed, processed quantities and the overall status update automatically for clear end-to-end visibility.

Sample Order PDF

Use Print → Print Sample Order to download a professional PDF based on Odoo's standard sale-order document style.

How To Use

1. Go to Sales → Orders → Sample Orders and click New.
2. Select the customer and choose Issue or Receive.
3. Select the warehouse and matching outgoing or incoming operation type.
4. Add inventory-tracked products and enter demand quantities.
5. Review or adjust the unit price populated from the product cost.
6. Click Confirm to validate the order and create its inventory transfer.
7. Use the Transfers smart button to process the linked picking.
8. Review processed quantities and choose Print → Print Sample Order to download the PDF.

Installation

1. Download the module from the Odoo App Store.
2. Place the bs_sample_order_management folder in your Odoo addons directory.
3. Restart the Odoo server and update the Apps list.
4. Search for Sample Order Management and click Install.
5. Give operational users the appropriate Sales and Inventory access rights.
